Polar Bears are carnivores (meat-eaters) who frequently hunt and catch their prey in the water, often many miles from land. They are fierce predators who eat mostly seals (and some walruses and other marine mammals). A polar bear's stomach can hold up to 150 pounds. Polar bears don't drink water.

YEAH! I'm back!!!! For some reason my web blog got reported as spam and was shut down. I've had a hundred other things going on so I just never took the time to get to the bottom of things. Well it looks like things are straightened out and I can start posting new artwork again. Sorry about the long delay.

Here is an Archer from my upcoming Martial Arts book, Hi-Yah!: How to Draw Fantastic Martial Arts Characters. These steps show clearly how important it is to establish the primary forms of the character before adding details like clothes and weapons.

It is always fun to come across an old illustration you completely forgot you had drawn. I think this is from the late nineties, but I'm still pretty happy with it.

I watch the Tarzan Disney cartoon almost everyday with my kids. I wanted to try drawing my version of Tarzan. I also wanted to throw down some minimum lines for the background and then paint the drawing in to see if it would speed up my creative process. Nope, I just spend all the time I saved on drawing on coloring.

Here is a jam piece between me and Brett Booth. This started out as a sketch of a totally different character, in the inking stage I tightened the drawing up and did some major design changes, oh and added the kid.

If I ever try to draw another octopus I've given my wife permission to shoot me! Wow it takes along time to draw all those little suction cups! The Blue Ringed Octopus is about the size of a golfball, it has a venom potent enough to kill up to 26 humans, its diet consists of small crabs and shrimp, go figure.
